History of our School
The school was originally founded between 1918 and 1920 and was situated in St. George's road. The first sch ool committee convened in January 1919 and Mr Bruyns officiating as first chairman. Moving to it's new premises, it was reported at a special meeting that the new school building would cost about 5 500 pounds to erect. That was accepted. The first principal was Ms Craig while Ms Tyrrell was the first teacher. Today the two sports houses of the school have been named after them, Red House named after Craig and the Yellow house after Tyrrell. Other principals to follow included Bently, Wegener, Emslie, Main, Schenk nad Joiner. In 1989 and hall was added to the school at a total cost of R25 000, which was recently extended and upgrade by the present principal Mike Kockott. In 1963 the swimming pool was built. Recent, in 2005 a new computor room was added to the school and since upgraded.
